Launch of the HarvardKey Application Integration Policy and Registry (HKAR)

We are pleased to announce that the HarvardKey Application Integration Policy was published on August 1, 2022. The policy outlines clear roles and responsibilities for both application teams and IAM and specifies compliance requirements for integrated applications.The HarvardKey Application Registry (HKAR) is now also live. HKAR offers application owners, schools, and units visibility into registration data for applications that are integrated with HarvardKey. Authorized users can view and request changes to their HarvardKey registrations as well as view and manage contacts associated with their applications. Together they facilitate the University’s move towards access based on affiliation with the goal of improving overall data security. 

The HarvardKey Application Integration Policy gives a six month window for application owners to bring their applications into compliance. See the HarvardKey Application Integration Policy Compliance page for instructions on completing these tasks.
