New Director of Identity & Access Management Services Named

Jason Snyder, HUIT's Chief Technology Officer has announced that Gretchen Gingo will take over as the new Director of Identity and Access Management Services, effective 12/7/2020.  His email announcement follows:

New FAS POI form launched

August 24, 2020

On August 24th, 2020 a new Person of Interest (POI) form for the FAS  launched. A team from IAM and FAS Administrative Operations worked together to create the new form and business process. The FAS Person of Interest (POI) Authorized Identity Request Form is used to request a POI affiliation role. POI roles are given to non-FAS employees such as a vendor, collaborator, tenant, or volunteer for access into FAS buildings or to FAS online resources. Harvard Key Light Project Underway

The Identity & Access Management Team has begun work on a new project 'Harvard Key Light'.  The vision for this initiative is to enable an extended population of current and prospective Harvard users to readily access University online resources through simplified and secure processes that improve the user experience and promote active collaboration across and beyond Harvard. 

We know there are additional populations with an affiliation to Harvard who might not have a HUID but need access to online resources, so we plan to offer a service to help...

Wiki uses Groups

Wiki leverages Group Services

Harvard Wiki has integrated with Group Services which enables wiki administrators to apply site permissions to groups of people. This replaces the prior use of iSties groups. HarvardKey 3.0 Testing

HUIT rallies to test the HarvardKey 3.0 functionality

With just a few days notice, over 50 HUIT employees responded to a request to run through the functionality included in the HarvardKey 3.0 release in a testing session held on Friday, September 9th.  These testers help to refine the actual user experience of activating two-step verification within the HarvardKey self-service application and also to "load test" the new Duo API to ensure large volumes of people could be accommodated setting up two-step verification all at once.  Valuable feedback was collected by the Technology Office's UX team, who facilitated the session.  ...

Welcome Class of 2020!
